At Nutritherapy we have found the benefits of this well known nutrient to be vast. It is a powerful Anti-oxidant and stimulates the bodies immune system to name but a few. Dr Linus Pauling is quoted as saying that Vitamin C will " add sixteen to eighteen years to our lives". Research has shown Heart disease can be linked to a chronic deficiency in Vitamin C. It can be used as a preventative supplement for many chronic disease states such as Cancer and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. We find the use of buffered Vitamin C(adjusted PH) easier to tolerate orally and recommend higher dosages than the required RDA which is really only enough to stop scurvy.
